Diagnosis

Well I have been diagnosed with a BAD case of the flu. My doctor gave me a good old steriod shot and some Tamiflu and cough medicine. Last night was the first night in three days that I have slept through the night. Praise God. My doctor said that last night should be the last that I have a fever also. My fever was only 100 last night too. I was told that I should not do clinicals until after Monday either. I do have some time off earned and will get more before the year is over but I really don't like having to use it. But I know I would pass out becuase I am so weak and exhausted not to mention I am a walking plague as my doctor put it.

This gives me time to catch up on some sleep and rest. I am also posting items on eBay like mad. I went to Savers with a friend of mine who also sells things on eBay. She gave me great advice and I found a lot of awesome items. I am talking Banana Republic dress pants and shorts that probably have never been worn. Some Express Editor pants that have probably never been worn and I hear those are a hot ticket item. Ann Taylor pants and dress, New York and Company dress pants and tops, Tommy Hilfiger pants and top. If you are needing some new clothes you can check out my postings at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESEX:IT&item=270213389618&_trksid=p3984.cSELL.m315.lVI I have one item being watched and one has already been bid on by one person. I could really use the money too. I am really praying that I can sell it all.

MISERY

Being sick just plain old stinks. And I am not talking just a cold or sneezing all day long. At 2:30 I will go to the doctor to find out my exact diagnosis. I woke up Monday and had a pretty bad cough and my throat was a little tingly but I figured it was just nothing. Later in the afternoon I decided to take my temperature just to see what it was. Sure enough I had about 100 fever. I know you think 100 is nothing. Well for someone who never gets a fever it is nothing to bat your eye at. My cough started getting more persistant and my throat was slowly getting more sore. I decided I should stay home from IFO I would hate to get the internationals sick. I tried to go to bed at like 10 and eventually fell asleep, still planning on attending class in the morning. Then I woke up at about 2 and my cough was worse and I was just wide awake. I decided to lay there hoping I would fall back asleep, two hours later no such luck. So I got up and messed on the computer arranged and purged my closet some, by 6:30 or so I was still up when Rachel got up to get ready for work. She suggested I get back in bed and at least rest. She loves me so. So I did and eventually fell asleep for a few hours. I woke up about 5 minutes into class and text my teacher telling her I had a fever and I would come and drop off my case study if she wanted and she told me I could just turn it in the next day. I thanked her and took my temperature again. Now I was about 101.5. So then the hot and chills took over. I hate that feeling. I called mom when I woke up from catching up on sleep, about 3. My throat was on FIRE I was coughing up stuff and I was starting to go hoarse on the phone with her. She told me I should call my doctor and she would pay for the dr since I have no health insurance. So I called and got my appointment. My boyfriend got a list of drugs and goods I needed and picked me up some popsicles, tissue and chicken noodle soup. I had yet to eat. My throat was so sore and I just was not hungry at all. Then he ran to Walmart to get me some Dayquil, night time cough and a new filter for my humidifier. Oh he is so good to me. I got all set up downstairs. Let me tell you just going down the stairs wore me out. When my sister came home she was griping at me that I needed to just relax and be sick. It is so hard for me to just hang out and rest and not get things done. So I was just miserable yesterday. I finally got in bed after taking some night time cough meds and fell asleep. I stayed asleep until about 3 and I was about to break a sweat. I took my temperature and it had spiked to 103. I tried Cepacol for my throat and Naproxen but nothing seemed to help. I was absolutely miserable. I layed around in bed just exhausted but could not sleep because of the pain. I eventually drew a hot bath and lounged around in the tub for a little while. I drank some hot tea and got back in bed laying around once again until Rachel woke up. I think I fell asleep before she left for work and woke up at 10:30 when one of my classmates called me. My fever is back to like 101 which I am more than glad for. I just pray he does not think I have pneumonia. Yet at the same time I am not so sure I want to be diagnosed with the flu either.
I DON'T DO SICK WELL!

These Days

So I had that interview and ever since I have been given the run around by my "would-be" boss. I called for the last time last week and was told that she was still doing interviews and would get back to me by Friday. It is Tuesday and I have not heard a thing. After the first week or two of waiting I started feeling a little torn about getting the job. I really enjoy the freedom of just attending class and clinicals and even feel a little overwhelmed by just that. So I figured if I added a 40 hour job on top of that I would be completely overwhelmed. It did not help that I also forgot to complete an online assignment so I got a 0 out of 20 for that. I decided if I did not get this job, then that would be my sign from God that I did not need to attempt school and a job this semester. I also learned that I would be getting all but $15 of my federal taxes back, to the tune of like $1570, because I paid for school both semesters last year. Praise God! That in and of itself would cover my bills for two months. I always have savings I can fall back on also. However I do not want to touch my savings so I am trying to come up with creative ways to make some extra money. Ebay came to mind first. I have sold a few things successfully on there. I also found Etsy, it is like Ebay but it is all handmade things, so I could make clothing and sell it there, but I am not sure how successful I would be selling on there. I may be able to clean my friend's mom's house once a month. I need more ideas and TONS of prayer.

Mini Update

I got a hold of the lady who interviewed me again and she said that she is still doing interviews but I should hear from her tomorrow. Honestly I am getting like all of my taxes back so I am not that concerned about finding a job. And even though I only have one class and clinicals, I am swamped. I missed turning in an assignment already. That was the one mistake I will allow myself. I have learned and it will not happen again. I will know that I can juggle school and work if God allows me to get the position. If I don't get the position I will just have to use self-control this semester and only spend what is necessary and know God will provide for those necessary medical bills. I just got my notice that it is time to schedule the yearly exam. Yippy! (Sarcasm noted)
