MISERY

Being sick just plain old stinks. And I am not talking just a cold or sneezing all day long. At 2:30 I will go to the doctor to find out my exact diagnosis. I woke up Monday and had a pretty bad cough and my throat was a little tingly but I figured it was just nothing. Later in the afternoon I decided to take my temperature just to see what it was. Sure enough I had about 100 fever. I know you think 100 is nothing. Well for someone who never gets a fever it is nothing to bat your eye at. My cough started getting more persistant and my throat was slowly getting more sore. I decided I should stay home from IFO I would hate to get the internationals sick. I tried to go to bed at like 10 and eventually fell asleep, still planning on attending class in the morning. Then I woke up at about 2 and my cough was worse and I was just wide awake. I decided to lay there hoping I would fall back asleep, two hours later no such luck. So I got up and messed on the computer arranged and purged my closet some, by 6:30 or so I was still up when Rachel got up to get ready for work. She suggested I get back in bed and at least rest. She loves me so. So I did and eventually fell asleep for a few hours. I woke up about 5 minutes into class and text my teacher telling her I had a fever and I would come and drop off my case study if she wanted and she told me I could just turn it in the next day. I thanked her and took my temperature again. Now I was about 101.5. So then the hot and chills took over. I hate that feeling. I called mom when I woke up from catching up on sleep, about 3. My throat was on FIRE I was coughing up stuff and I was starting to go hoarse on the phone with her. She told me I should call my doctor and she would pay for the dr since I have no health insurance. So I called and got my appointment. My boyfriend got a list of drugs and goods I needed and picked me up some popsicles, tissue and chicken noodle soup. I had yet to eat. My throat was so sore and I just was not hungry at all. Then he ran to Walmart to get me some Dayquil, night time cough and a new filter for my humidifier. Oh he is so good to me. I got all set up downstairs. Let me tell you just going down the stairs wore me out. When my sister came home she was griping at me that I needed to just relax and be sick. It is so hard for me to just hang out and rest and not get things done. So I was just miserable yesterday. I finally got in bed after taking some night time cough meds and fell asleep. I stayed asleep until about 3 and I was about to break a sweat. I took my temperature and it had spiked to 103. I tried Cepacol for my throat and Naproxen but nothing seemed to help. I was absolutely miserable. I layed around in bed just exhausted but could not sleep because of the pain. I eventually drew a hot bath and lounged around in the tub for a little while. I drank some hot tea and got back in bed laying around once again until Rachel woke up. I think I fell asleep before she left for work and woke up at 10:30 when one of my classmates called me. My fever is back to like 101 which I am more than glad for. I just pray he does not think I have pneumonia. Yet at the same time I am not so sure I want to be diagnosed with the flu either.
I DON'T DO SICK WELL!
