Speaking Germany

Last night we were delighted to go to our dear friend Marion's house for German sandwiches and games. She invited two of her German friends and I enjoyed hearing them speak German! I said they were speaking Germany. I learned a few new favorite words. To top them all would be Tortenbuden-flan case which is a great dessert that has fruit on top Marion made for us on Sunday. This became my favorite word to say all night long. Obst means fruit so you could have a obst tortenbuden. And you could ask for eine tasse tee bitte with your obst tortenbuden which would mean one cup of tea please. On Sunday we had a erdbeer tortenbuden, which is a strawberry dessert it resembles a torte. Now we can tack these on to vas is los, was fur ding and shotzy which is currently the extent of Rachie's vocabulary in German. Watch out Germany here we come!
