In Arkansas now is the time when you can't decide if it is spring or summer. As today's temperature will be around 81 degrees. That doesn't seem like spring weather more like early summer. I guess not if it is Arkansas. I mean really spring officially started two days ago but really started like mid February. I do love this time of year. While I am a HUGE fan of snow, it rarely comes here. And cold weather without snow is like a kick in the pants. I don't enjoy the blah colors the cold weather brings either. I love color. I get giddy when I start seeing the yellow, red, purple, pink, white, blue buds starting to form. My favorite would probably have to be the tulip tree but it may be tied with Wisteria. I love the grapelike clusters of lavendar that drops down from trees. It is like a breath of fresh air. I have yet to really search out some wisteria, but I know a great place if it is fully out yet. I am sad that I am pretty sure I have waited to long to capture the tulip trees. It seems all the ones I find have lost their blossoms already and the leaves are beginning to form. It is amazing how they go from bright pink and purple to white and then fall off. Ahh God's Creation in one word PERFECT! How can you not believe in God and created order when winter always follows the splender of the fall, then spring brings everything back to life and summer warms it all up again then fall cools it down and shuts off chlorophyll making beautiful autumn shades. If things just exploded into being one day then why has there been perfect order in the seasons every year for over 3,000 years? How could evolution exist when the world proves that instead of things coming to order and perfection we live and die and the world is moving towards chaos? Why is it the further we turn from God the harder things get for us? All that to say here are some pictures I am blessed to be able to capture of God's creation.
These trees crowd around a few benches on Kavanaugh, where I used to walk with Hanna every day when she was an infant.
Closeup of the flowers
I parked under these trees and the petals fell in through my moon roof, it was kind of romantic. So I am a hopeless romantic, I know.
Kind of looks like snow all on the ground.
