Gotta Catch Up

Wow now that it has almost been a month since I have updated this thing, a lot has happened. I am busier now than I was when I was fully employed and had school. The catch was that I did not have clinicals every week then. I am really enjoying Surgical Technology. I actually got to see a beating heart on Thursday. Friday I was blessed to have the day off. So my spring break was started early.
Rob had the day off too and so we went shopping. The original plan was to go and find him a suit then go to like the riverwalk and get in some exercise. But his gracious dad offered to buy the suit along with some shorts and sandals and other things for the cruise. So we headed to JC Penney and they were having an awesome sale. So we looked at suits first and he tried them on and we found a classy black pinstripe suit for him. Then we looked at the shorts and shirts for the cruise and headed back to the dressing room. I LOVE shopping with him, he is hands down my favorite person to shop with. It is a true blessing that I am his favorite shopping buddy too! He lets me pick things out for him and will try them on whether he would pick them out or not. We looked at their dress shoes and sandals and there was not much there. I mentioned how I did not have an Easter dress and I was thinking about what I would wear for Easter. Then he offered to buy me an Easter dress. I asked him a few times if he was sure he wanted to buy me an Easter dress and he assured me he did. So we looked at the dresses and there were near to none. We headed off to Shoe Carnival to look for shoes and dropped in to Dress Barn while we were over there. We found no shoes that were in the price range and found a dress at DressBarn but I was hesitant because it was black and white and I needed color for Easter. I was elated that I tried on the 10 and decided to see if the size 8 fit better and as sure as anything it did. I had to pat myself on the back for that one. We decided to look at Kohls and then possibly return to get it. There are like NO dresses at Kohls. I was shocked did people not realize easter was a few days away?!?! Then Rob offered to take me to get my hair done or nails or toes, since we had no luck finding a dress. I was shocked. We called around and tried Sears for a dress then made a hair appointment. I needed some layers for more body. 9 times out of 10 I just throw my hair up into a bun or ponytail.
Rob waited patiently while I had my hair washed and then we decided that for my shape I should probably have about 2-3 inches cut off and get rid of all the dead ends then layer it. My hair had grown quite long so I told him to go for it. Off came 3 inches. When it was all said and done my hair was silky soft, it has not felt like that in a WHILE and had much more body. Rob thought it was well worth the wait! As we left he asked me if I would like to go back to DressBarn and get the dress. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes so off we went to get the dress. I was so excited new hair and dress. I did not get any pictures of the dress on, but I will wear it again and get some pictures up. Also the new hair.
Friday evening we had our Good Friday service. The first half was Scripture reading and the choir sang then our pastor presented a message and then we celebrated communion together. It was a somber yet sweet time of reflection on the price that was paid for us as unworthy as we are.
Lately we have been taking care of Jett again and that boy is growing so fast. He weighs 21 pounds now, and is almost 8 months old.
I have put a lot of my time into shopping at Savers and Goodwill and selling items on eBay. With the help and instruction of my dear friend Aimee. I really couldn't have done it without her. I am making a good amount of profit, after a little bit of a rocky start. God is truly providing for me. I was blessed to be able to clean a friend's house to make some money too. She has not had much luck with other cleaning ladies and I did some cleaning for her daughter too. So I will continue to do that once a month. I was asked by some friends in our Care Group if I would take 6 month pictures of their adorable little girl on Saturday and they were very generous and paid me for that. I pray I can do that more often. I need to Photoshop those pictures some before I put them up here. But they should be up soon since I am off all week on Spring Break.
Rob has been waiting patiently to hear back from the FAA about his appeal. Hopefully this week he will hear something. I am just praying he would be accepted. If it takes another month for them to accept him I just want him to be accepted. He really wants to be an Air Traffic Controller.
That is all I can update you on as Jett is now beginning to stir. I will post pictures soon!
