So it is March now and in the beginning of February I had completely given up hope of seeing snow this winter in Arkansas, but God had other plans for this state. Last Saturday was a beautiful day the temp was like 75, Sunday was also around the same temperature, spring was in the air. Then before choir I heard the most bizarre news possible, the weathermen were talking about us having snow Tuesday. I could not believe it. But I qualified that if it did happen it would not stick anywhere, since it was 75 that day. So Rachel wakes me up Tuesday and tells me to look out the window and I was like no way. She was like yep and sure enough it was snowing. I got back in bed since it was still not time for school and a friend called asking for a phone number because in Benton it was icy. My instructor lives out there too so I was not sure that she would be able to make it to school so I text her to see if we were having class. She said we were but if I did not want to get out on the road she would understand. Seeing that I had not been to class in like oh over 2 weeks I decided to go. 3 weeks ago I had the flu, then the next week my instructors dog died and then her grandmother died so we met once but did not have class. By the time I left school at about noon the snow was pretty much completely gone.
So then there was talk about more snow today. I had no doubt in my mind about it happening. So last night we kept looking outside to see if anything was happening. Eventually it started sleeting. I decided to be a little irresponsible and go to bed late. They were saying like 100% chance of snow overnight and so I knew I would wake up to see snow and have a call from my instructor cancelling clinicals or that I would have to call her and tell her there was no way I was driving out there. But alas when I woke up it was just wet outside. I was so DISAPPOINTED! They promised winter weather and there was none. So I went to clinicals and was able to get some good experience in and when I took a break after our second case it was snowing outside. So I checked my phone to see if my instructor had called. She had and she said I was the only one in clinicals today and the roads were fine but I could leave if I wanted to. I told her I only had one more case scheduled so I would finish that case and then head home. It was really coming down good when they gave me a break for lunch. It was a pretty quick case and finished shortly after I got back from lunch. So I helped clean the room and told my preceptor I would be leaving. So I walk outside and while the snow was tiny there was a lot, including wind so it was really hard to keep my eyes open. Snow had been accumulating on the grass but the roads were just slush. So that snow did come, just not when I wanted it to come. I can't believe it is March and we are getting our snow for this winter season that has pretty much come to an end. Blossoms were already coming out!
