Still Alive

I promise I am still alive. Life has just been hectic to say the least. I passed my surgical hand scrub and gowning and gloving check-off and only missed one. I accidentally used my thumb when regloving after having a contaminated glove. On the down-side I have been making all Bs in my Basic Operating Room Techniques class. I know boo-hoo to me. But really if I want to recieve scholarships next semester so I can afford tuition then I really need to be making all As. I have a 89% which is 4% away from an A. I am really trying to focus more in my studying and emphasize the reading.
This past weekend Rachel and I babysat, I caught up on some much needed sleep, and we attended the last shower for a dear friend who will be wed this Saturday. This meant that my dear sweet Tami and her now delightful daughter Evie are here. And the pictures you are dying to see...

Lucinda one of our dear hosts, Gena sister of bride, and Evie
Bride-to-be and my sister. Rachel gave up football for this occasion.

Ahh to have my Tami back

Putting on the bridal wear

Evie looks unimpressed

One of our games was to split into teams and dress one person up as a bride and Naomi picked the best looking/creative bride.
Here is Gena the African bride.
Bri the winning bride

Along with Bethany and I the other two blushing brides.

Evie loved the tissue paper.

Trying to get safety pins out of a bowl of rice using two fingers.

Evie eating

Must eat the cheeks.
The other game was when we came in we were given three clothes pins and were told we could not say Michael, wedding and honeymoon. If you did whoever heard you could take away your pin. I used the tactic of listening more than talking and won with 12 clothes pins.

Evie became a monkey when Tami put her in the sling.

And the wearing down begins.

Hannah, Thanks for faithfully posting social events! I LOVE being able to keep up with Bible Church happenings. It eases my homesickness just a little bit. :)

Oh, how I wish we could be at the wedding this weekend...but it just isn't possible.

Love,
Krista
