Finally Joined the Club
So Rachel joined Weight Watchers about 21 weeks ago. I had been trying to do the program without joining and kept goining up and down with my weight. I had fought long and hard enough on my own so I decided to throw in the towel and join. Lets say I have been seriously trying to lose weight since mom and dad moved back to Maine. So since about January 2005. So June 4th I jumped on board. It is amazing how knowing you are going to get on a scale in front of someone and kept accountable will cause weight loss. The first week I lost a pound and a half, I was very excited, since I walked in fearing a gain, since we had celebrated my sister's birthday that weekend. The next week I was overjoyed to find out I had lost 5 whole pounds! Each week since I have lost 1 pound, excluding the week we were in Maine, we did not go and weigh in. Rachel had forgotten her book and we were SOOO busy. So my total weight loss is 8 1/2 pounds. I will be more than happy to keep losing 1 pound a week. At that rate by the 3rd week of September my loss will be at 10% of my inital weigh. And somewhere in December I would be at my goal weight. It is really not hard to do. And that is coming from someone who LOVES food. That love caters more towards your cheesecakes, candy, chips, breads and starches. So it is possible to lose weight and not be miserable. My clothes are getting bigger on me and when I was buying clothes in Maine they were all consistantly size 10. My goal is to fit into my size 8's again. And I just know I can do it. As I continue along on my weight loss journey I will start posting before and after pictures.

Welcome to the club. I don't know if you know but there are quite a few of us at church. Keep up the good work. It is easy, just count your points.
