North Conway and Kancamagus

Tuesday we got up early and picked up Aunt Beth and headed up to North Conway, NH. Our first goal was to shop the outlets like there was no tomorrow. While Kittery, Maine does have awesome outlets, NH does not have sales tax, so put that together with outlet prices and you have a dream. I had been saving up so I bought some neccessary items and then stuff that was cute.
After shopping for a FEW hours we stopped for lunch at 99, I had fish tacos for the first time and boy were they tasty. It has always sounded so gross to me but I wanted to give it a try. Then we headed up to the Kancamagus Highway, which is a delightfully scenic drive. It runs parallel to the swift river and along the way there are great places to stop and take a dip. One has a natural waterslide. This is where we always stop.

Here is the natural waterslide.
Ahh just look at those inviting rapids.
Rachel was the first to have a go.

Mom went second. Her expressions are priceless.

She ended up with some bumps and bruises and Aunty Beth decided not to go. Having recently had knee surgery, she decided on keeping her body fully intact. Mom decided once was enough.
I was the last. But I went down it 3 or 4 more times after.

This is below the waterslide.
And even farther down were these falls and a huge pool that anyone can swim in young or old.
We played queen of the day on our waterfall throne.
