Sunday evening I did decide to sit down and do some scrapbooking. The reason I normally do this as a weekend thing, is that when I first pull ALL my stuff out I can't get started unless I organize and arrange things, which can take hours. So as I was organizing and going through things I found an old letter from Uncle Sam. Sam was a good friend of mom and dad's from Maryland. I think mom met him after college but I am not sure. Anyways he is a great guy with an awesome imagination and he used to write me letters and tell me stories. I found one of the best and knew I had to post it so more people could enjoy it. This is all he knows about the planet Tupperware.
Long ago in a galaxy far, far away, there was a beautiful princess who lived on a planet called "Tupperware." The Princess' name was Princess Ne-erg. One day Princess Ne-erg was walking through the North East part of her kingdom and she suddenly saw the scariest sight of her life. It was a hideous creature called "Lobsterman." He was a great hulking figure with a little rocking chair on one foot. He was so scary that when the little children saw him they would scream and run away. At first Princess Ne-erg was afraid too, but, after she got to know Lobsterman better she started to like him. In fact after a while she fell in love with Lobsterman. All of her friends said, "Oh Princess, how can you love that hideous Lobsterman?" But, Princess Ne-erg said, "Not to worry. When I kiss him, he will become a handsome prince." So Princess Ne-erg married Lobsterman and when she kissed him he became "Prince Vad, Keeper of the Transit." And they lived happily ever after. Well not completely. YOu see, the Princess thought that by kissing Lobsterman he would become a handsome prince. Well, he did become a prince, but to this day the princess has a problem with chapped lips. She myst have kissed the prince a million times and he still hasn't become handsome.
Anyway, the thing you have to remember about planet Tupperware is that there are only two kinds of people on the planet-the Bogs and the Grils. Now some of the Bogs don't get along with some of the other Bogs and some of the Grils don't get along with some of the other Grils, but hardly any of the Bogs get along with the Grils, especially when they live in the same house together. One of the reasons that Princess Ne-erg loved Prince Vad so much is because Prince Vad wanted to help the Bogs and the Grils get along with each other and be happy when they lived in the same house together.
One day the Prince had a great idea. A lot of Bogs lived in a country called Ec-narf. Ec-narf had a big monument called the Revot Leffie. It was a beautiful monument that was painted red and blue, but a lot of the paint was chipped and peeling off. Prince Vad thought to himself (he does this a lot) "I will repaint the Revot Leffie on behalf of the Grils and the Bogs will like the Grils and they will get along better." So the Prince and the Princess sent two of their biggest and fastest ships to Ec-narf. One was filled with red paint and one was filled with blue paint. One day during the voyage it became very, very foggy and the two ships (they were both Tupperware container ships) crashed into each other. It was a terrible crash and all the paint went everywhere-it was a real mess. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but both crews were "marooned."
I should also tell you that the Prince and the Princess had two beautiful little daughters (they looked like the Princess). One was named A-mol and the other was named Wan. One unusual thing on the planet Tupperware is that, even though A-mol was two years older than Wan, they were twins and looked exactly alike (both beautiful like the Princess of course). One day an old friend of the Princess visited. His name was Bitnbyte. While Bitnbyte was talking to the Prince and Princess, Wan came in and said hello to Bitnbyte. Bitnbyte told the Prince that he would like to say hello to A-mol also, but Prince Vad said that A-mol was away on a school trip to the moon of Sasnak-Ra. "That is too bad," said Bitnbyte, "I really did want to see both of your daughters while I was here." Prince Vad said "That's OK, they are twins-if you've seen Wan, you've seen A-mol!"
One of the interesting things about raising babies on Tupperware is that they have special Tupperware baby bottles to feed the babies so instead of burping the baby, you just burp the milk.
The only other thing I know about the planet Tupperware is that they have a group of people there known as the "Palindrones." These people like to think of words and sentences that are spelled the same frontwards or backwards. Like the word "Level." It's spelled "L-E-V-E-L" either from the front or back. Here are some others-
"Madam, I'm Adam"
"Step on no pets"
"Sit on a potato pan, Otis"
In order to become a Palindrome you have to think of a word that spells the same frontward or backward. Hannah can you think of any words like that?
Actually that is when I first learned what a Palindrome is.
